Tropical inside,
magical outside.

Botania is a place in Joensuu
where nature meets art, and where you meet each other.
We offer both a greenhouse and an outdoor garden,
with over 700 plant species to admire.
Our greenhouse features a variety of blooming tropical plants and trees.
During the winter season, Botania transforms into a winter wonderland.

At Botania, we’re focusing on maintaining the love and care in our garden. Most of the improvements are done by our own team. We’re still learning every day at this inspirational place. We’re creating a space for everybody to enjoy; from artists who want to use our space for inspiration to other visitors who dive into our jungle.

There’s a lot of history found at Botania.

Started out as a research garden of the University of Eastern Finland, Botania is now available to the public. We’re here to share our knowledge of our plants.
